Friday

Another beautiful day here!  We decided we'd better go to Sawgrass to see the anhinga chicks before they fledged and left their nests.  We had a great day seeing them.  The biggest ones numbered 4.  As you can see they're big, but their wings are just little bitty.  I think it'll be a little while before they can fly.  When they get ready, they want to be good, because there's usually a rather large alligator under their nest.

The nest on the other side has 3 much smaller chicks...anyway that's what I counted.  We can't see them as well.

Fun Friday.  My team even won at cards tonight - by 7,000 points!

Fun Day

We had a fun day.  After coffee, we went to Sawgrass Lake Park again and we had a great time taking pictures!  We not only saw the baby gators (only 3 today), but we also found the baby anhingas!!!!

They were about 80 feet away from us, through the trees, but we both got good shots of them!  They look so soft!  I also got a picture of one of the yellow butterflies that are thick there.

The only thing we didn't see was a spoonbill...we haven't seen one this season...maybe this fall!

Oh, I also won at cards!
