Had a great church service as usual. This afternoon we took Sudi & Howard with us to Whiskey Joe's where we met Nancy & Rod, Becky & Jim, and Karen and David. We had a fun couple of hours visiting and reminiscing! Fun times!
It was a gorgeous day here so that made it even better!!
The baby girls are doing about the same. Rowyn needs to be able to eat more formula before she can go home, and Oaklyn is holding her own.
Here they are at 5 days and the second picture is of Oaklyn's meds, fluids, nutrients, etc. Bless her heart!
Oaklyn's on the left, Rowyn on the right.

I'm Tired!
We had a great time this past week. Along with 14 other girlfriends from high school, I spent the past 5 days in Miramar, Florida (near Destin). We had a house just off the beach where we all stayed. Fun times - lots of catching up and looking back! Shopping and eating, and even drinking, took up the rest of our time. There wasn't much sleeping! Fun times!
I didn't even play cards tonight - just too tired!

Wonderful day
What a wonderful day we had today! We went to CVS to get our flu shots. I know it's a little late, but for some reason we didn't get around to getting them until now. Then we went to Ellenton to meet high school friends and their significant others. There were 5 of us "Girls of 66" - so much fun. Friends for 50+ years!

Warmth finally!
It's been a long time since we've been this warm! Finally we had an 80 degree day - with humidity! It felt so good to be outside in the sun and actually be warm again! Thank you, God!
We had a wonderful day. We went to church services and then we met up with Sudi, Howard, Becky, Jim, Nancy, and Rod at Bubba Gump's at Madeira Beach. Good food and good company. Nice to see my classmates again!
We even got to see a couple of dolphins and I got a picture of a pelican flying over my head! I've tried and tried to get a good shot of a flying bird and I finally got it. Dave's much better at it than I am!
This dolphin was really close to the shore - just hanging out today!
Here's my flying pelican! If you zoom in, you can see a drop of water on the tip of its beak! Love how big their wing span is!
Tonight we had the awards potluck for our Senior Olympics. Again good food and good friends! Some of the ladies stayed to play cards, but I didn't want to tonight. I just wanted to come home!

My 66th!
I had a great birthday - it was the 27th anniversary of my 39th birthday! Dave made breakfast for us and Bob called to invite us to breakfast...sorry, Bob & Ann. With our busy schedule, you've got to call early - ha!! Then we met Sudi, Howard, and Chris at the Post Corner for lunch. The Gulf of Mexico was a little riled up today - an angry ocean!
What a fun lunch! It was great seeing all of you!!
When we got home, we took two bike rides - even though I about froze to death! It was really cold pedaling into the north wind! Then I took a little nap to get ready for cards tonight.
While we were playing cards, Dave brought in a cake for everyone to have a piece! My brother came in, hugged and kissed me, and even sang Happy Birthday to me!! He must have been hitting the Crown! Then he came back a few minutes later with a deck of 1948 trivia cards for me! Plus, I got over 175 messages on Facebook wishing me HB. Overall it was a wonderful birthday!

I'M TIRED!!
I'm telling you, I'm sure glad these Girls of '66 trips are only once a year. I feel like I've been hit by a Mack truck! I think I had 8 hours of sleep last night and it still wasn't enough. I tried two different times today to take a nap, but the phone wouldn't let
me! So I finally gave up.
I got all the pictures uploaded to Facebook and now I've got to get some out to the girls who aren't on FB. I think I'll upload them to Snapfish and share them that way. That saves me the hassle of having to resize all of them. I hope to get that done tomorrow...I've also got a huge order for SU I've got to get in before 11:00 and a lot of things to do before we leave for Florida.
This is a picture of the girls from Libertyville. Joneane and I (Joneane is in leopard print) have known each other for 60 years...hard to believe!
Tonight we had the Indian Hills Retirees' dinner. It was good to see old friends again. As usual, the food was outstanding!
I'm going to bed - more later...

Two Days of Blogging in One!
Yesterday evening something happened with Mediacom; therefore our internet was down for a long time. This evening it is working most of the time. I have, however, lost lives in my games because it went down during a game. I think it's just too darn hot for the internet!!
Speaking of hot. Here's what my car said on my way back to O-town this afternoon:
That's a little too warm for September!!
The reason I went to Fairfield today was to see some of my high school classmates. Dick H (middle sitting) was back from Europe where he lives so some of us got to have lunch with him! Great to see classmates we don't see often. He told me a good story about him having Bob (my brother) for a teacher!
Dave didn't work today - he stayed home and did some things on HIS honey-do list. He makes lists, I don't usually! He's going back to work tomorrow! He put up a second hummingbird feeder. All of a sudden we have a bunch of hummers and they are ornery and don't want to share their food! Maybe they're just hot and cranky!

Frantic Friday
Today was a gorgeous day - complete with temps near 70 degrees and plenty of sunshine! Thank goodness spring may finally have arrived! I wasn't the only one wearing shorts today!!
I had my stamp club today where we made a really cool card. Unfortunately I haven't gotten it uploaded yet...maybe tomorrow. Then after club, I took off for Fairfield to see a couple of my high school friends who were in town for a short visit.
We asked a lady sitting at a nearby table to take the picture and I'm sorry it's not a very good one. She took 2 pictures but the second one is worse. So, this one will have to do.
After about an hour of visiting with the ladies, I drove to Mt Pleasant to see my Aunt. I didn't have very good luck there. She was sleeping when I arrived and I never did get her fully awake. So after about 20 minutes I left. Poor lady - she doesn't have much of a life.
I came home, fixed supper, cleaned up the kitchen, vacuumed floors downstairs, and waited for Dave to get home. It's a good think supper was in the oven because he didn't get home until 6:30...he figured he'd be home around 6:00. Nothing ruined, though!
