We took a quick trip South to Hedrick today. One of Dave's co-workers is retiring and today was his retirement party. We left Waterloo in rain and flooding and when we got to Hedrick they were in the fields picking corn! What a difference in weather. It was sunny and in the upper 80's down there and up here it was gray, rainy, and around 70!
It's depressing around here. Tonight it's very foggy and there's water everywhere. We're lucky - our part of town is on high ground. Sunday we're not sure we'll be able to get to church.. Kyle, Cassie, and Blaise are flooded in - they have 2 ways out of their place and they were both under water. The water is receding, but it's taking the road with it. I don't know when they'll be able to "drive" out. This is the road in one direction. The other way is still under water.
What a challenge!
