We went to Agency today - drove both vehicles down. We left the truck at a friend's business. Some of his employees were going to fix the brakes on the truck then we'll have to go back down and get it. While we were down in that area, we visited Grahams and The Canteen...yum!! We were able to eat outside at the Canteen so we didn't have to worry about other diners. There was no one else in line at Grahams, which worked out well, too. Then on the way back home, we stopped and had a social distanced visit with Craig and Sue and that was fun, too.
Unfortunately on the drive, we saw miles of damage from the derecho. Seeing all that corn down was very depressing...plus the damage to houses, outbuildings, grain bins, silos, and trees. It was just awful...and it went on for miles...from about 5 miles south of Waterloo all the way down to Hedrick. God bless those farmers!
