Today we went to visit some childhood friends of Dave and his family. We got to see two of the sisters, Narda and Pam, and Pam's husband. Both sisters live in a beautiful mobile home park in Ellenton. Narda's home is just gorgeous and overlooks a lake complete with birds and alligators. We didn't leave there until after 3:30 - it was a very pleasant day! I felt like I'd known them a long time and I just met them today.
We had a gorgeous day here...a little humid, but a nice breeze! After "attending" two churches, we got ready for the day. We waited until afternoon to walk. Our walk today was at Taylor Park. I got really hot walking around the lake - there's not much shade at that time of day. We saw a couple of alligators and some baby moorhens!! After our walk, we just sat in the car with the air conditioning going full blast for a few minutes.
The rest of the afternoon was spent with Dave's cousins at the condo they rent in Madeira Beach. There was a crowd at the beach today!! Everyone was safely spaced out - each group was about 6-10 feet apart. It looked really cool from 9 floors up! On the way home, we saw two dolphins. So it was a great day!!

It was sure hot here today - it got to 90!!! Dave, Bob and John worked some more on the windows at John & Gayle's home. Ann and I joined them for lunch - pizza! Yum!! We waited until it was cooler this evening before we walked.

Since I had to have blood drawn this morning early, Dave and I walked right after I ate my breakfast. It was still cool out which was nice. Found out one of our residents passed last night - he was a really nice man. His wife will move back to Ohio - they will be missed.
Dave worked with John and Bob today which left me to my own devices. I had a lazy day...I read for a long time today!! This evening I went over to visit with Bob for a while. Other than that, nothing!

For our adventure today, we packed a lunch, our sunscreen, our chairs, and our cameras. We went to Pass-a-Grille!! Another one of my favorite places. The water was just gorgeous today!! Very aqua!!
We walked at Largo Nature Park this morning, then came home to get ready to go to lunch. We met 7 others from the park at Cheddars for lunch. All of us at the table had been vaccinated so it was good to get out. Cheddars always have good food.
Next stop for us was to go to Paradise Park where they were holding a first-ever farmers market. A bunch of us from the park went. They had a gal singing and a guy playing the guitar as her accompaniment. They were pretty good. After this we went to Sam's to pick up our order...then to Walmart to pick up that order.
It was a busy day!!

We crossed something off my bucket list today...we walked to the top of the Bellair Causeway bridge!! It was not an easy walk because the incline is steep. It's a good thing we stopped a few times to take pictures - the view is spectacular!! I'm thinking I may have some sore muscles in the morning.
I had a busy day today. I had to go to the doctor's office today. I've been having some odd feelings with my heart kind of like palpitations. So I went in for a checkup. I also had EKG and then I have to fast and go back for blood work.
This evening I went to a Networking for Progress meeting at another park. It was a pretty good meeting. Learned some things, which is always good!

We had another cold day here. I'm not sure it ever got over 62 degrees. I wore shorts, but I put on a sweatshirt before we went walking. Dave finished up his project from yesterday. I watched Allison's softball team play a doubleheader.

It was cold here today! I had to wear a sweatshirt!! I sat out with Bob, but we both got cold!! Dave worked on one of "his widows-and-orphan's" place all morning. That left me to my own devices!! I called Supercuts and found out my favorite stylist was working, so I was able to get a haircut at 2:00. My hair was unruly!! Feels a lot better now!
Dave took his nap while I was watching Allison's ballgame. She pitched a no-hitter and won in 5 innings, 12-0. Good outing!

We had lots of birds visit us - some of them almost in our laps!! This snowy egret was so close I could have touched him!!
This was kind of a boring day. Went over to talk to Bob for a while this morning. Found out that someone stole Sandy's golf cart last night. Of course, it was after dark so no one saw anything! I hope the keys weren't in it!
We didn't walk until mid-afternoon and then we just walked around the park. We didn't go anywhere to walk today.

It was gorgeous again here. I really like being here!! This was pick-up-groceries from Sam's day so Dave went to do that while I watched The View. I haven't been watching it lately - just seems like we're gone during that time slot.
After putting away groceries and eating lunch, Dave wanted a short nap so that's what he did. I read. Then we went to Largo Nature Park for our walk. The BIG alligator was there again today...and so was the 6-foot one (at the other end). We didn't even take our masks today. We decided since we were outside, we were fine.
About 5:00 we left for Madeira Beach where Dave's cousins rent a condo for 3 weeks. There were 12 of us for dinner and watching the sunset. We enjoyed being with the family!

This was the day that Dave had his colonoscopy. Everything was great!! I went to pick him up around 2:15. He was starved, so we went to Wendy's to get him some lunch. The rest of our day was pretty laid-back. He napped after lunch; I napped when he did.

I've been having some weird heart-beats, so I called the doctor's office today. I had the phone on speaker so Dave heard the lady on the phone say there was an opening this morning at 11:00. So I went to the clinic...just to be told I didn't have an appointment! My appointment is really next week Monday at 11:00. The lady on the phone screwed up. I got up and going, though!!
After I got home, Dave and I went to Eagle Lake for our walk. It was beautiful today. We didn't take cameras, so we've got to go back soon...the water lilies are blooming and they are beautiful.
There are 3 or 4 observation decks - none real close to the lilies, but all of our cameras will be able to get close-ups of them.
Dave is prepping for a colonoscopy today. I'll take him to the hospital tomorrow and then come home to await a call telling me to come pick him up.

We "went" to church this morning. After church we gathered with about 20 people here to play bean bags. I didn't play - I like to keep score, so that's what I did. Dave played, but he got beat by the eventual champion. It was hot out there, but Dave set my chair up with a beach umbrella so I was able to keep mostly in the shade. Fun day.
This evening, we went to Gayle and John's for a spaghetti dinner. Delicious!!

Our day started at 8:30 this morning. We met John & Gayle at Doreen's to rake all of the live oak leaves from her yard. I used a blower and blew all of the leaves from the back of her home. Then I tried to rake them into a pile. My back started spasming, so I had to quit. They got 20 big garbage cans full of leaves!! Since I couldn't do any more, I came home and sat outside visiting with my brother. I was covered with dirt! I got a paper towel and wiped my face...the paper towel was filthy! After Dave got home and we both had showered, we went to the Botanical Gardens for the rest of our walk. We saw some beautiful flowers and even a wedding!!

Dave worked on Doreen's roof this morning. I got to visit with Bob for a while. Then when Dave finally got home, we had lunch and then went to Largo Nature Park for our walk. Today was a day for twos. We saw a HUGE alligator just at the beginning of the boardwalk...then on the other end was another alligator. This one was only about 6 feet long! We went around the lake and saw not one, but two...roseate spoonbills! This is very unusual for LNP...we also saw blue wing teal ducks today. Fun walk!
I read for a while when we got home and I worked on pictures in Light Room. I got a bunch gone through, but I've still got hundreds more!! Plus we took more today!

Today was a stay-at-home day for Dave and me. I worked with my inks and paints, so I had a creative day! I also got to read and play games while Dave worked on cleaning the car! Hopefully tomorrow we'll get to go somewhere to walk. We just walked the Ranch today.
Part of our day was spent making plans to go to Fort Lauderdale to see Jami and her family!!

We got around early this morning, so we went to St Pete to see the new Pier. It was a beautiful day and the sights we saw were just gorgeous. We went all the way up to the restaurant at The Pier. We didn't eat there because we'd brought sandwiches with us. After we walked back to the car we sat on a park bench and ate. Then we came home. We spent about 2 hours there.
We also spent time talking to Bob after we got back. That was fun!

We went to Largo Nature Park to do our walk today. We saw an alligator and it was even chilly. (We don't usually see them when it's chilly out!) We took another little walk here in the park just to finish off our 2 miles. Dave napped in his chair while I ate my lunch and then I took my nap after he woke up. We stopped and visited with Bob, Ann, John, and Gayle before we came home for supper.

Happy birthday to...me!!! I enjoyed my day today. We started out by "attending" our church services online. Then we got ready for our day. We first stopped at Subway and got sandwiches to go. I got a free cookie because it was my birthday! Then we went to Madeira Beach but couldn't find a parking place, so we moved on farther South. We stopped at the municipal parking lot in Treasure Island. We took our chairs, our lunch, our cameras and went out to the water. What a beautiful place to be!
Later this afternoon, nine of us gathered across the street for cake and ice cream. Good friends and neighbors!!
When we came home, we got to talk to Aidan and Kaitlyn - both of whom said "Happy Birthday, Grandma Peg!!" That was so cool!

It was rainy here today - any chilly. Later in the day, though, it was lovely. Dave helped me clean the house today. All the laundry is done. I made a couple of hanging kitchen towels and finished our financial reconciliations. I also finished downloading all my old pictures onto an external hard drive. I didn't get a walk in, but I feel like I did enough work to count the same number of steps!!

Since our new camera came yesterday, we decided to go try it out today. We charged it last night so it would be ready for us. We went to Fort DeSoto where we were guaranteed to see birds and beautiful scenery and we weren't disappointed. It was a gorgeous day to bee on the beach!! We even sat on the beach for a while...just enjoying the day! We probably took 300+ pictures. I took some and Dave took some. We had a couple of complaints about the camera that I was able to solve on the way home. We won't be going out tomorrow because it's supposed to rain and be chilly all day. Hopefully, though, we'll go someplace Sunday to see if the changes I made to the camera solved the issues we had with it.

We had a gorgeous day here today. Low humidity and 70s...perfect!! I got to hang out this morning because Dave went to lawn care. I just did some things around here. After Dave got home, he worked on putting my bicycle back together. After lunch, though, we went for our walk at Largo Nature Park. There was an alligator today - yay!!

I had a boring day today. Dave had a doctor's appointment this morning. When he got home, he went over to John & Gayle's to help them. So I went to get a pedicure and get my eyebrows done. After lunch I read for a while, then took a nap!! I told you I had a boring day!!

Fishing was on the docket today. We went to the Courtney Campbell Causeway again so Dave could fish. I walked the pedestrian bridge while he did his thing. It was more humid today but at least a nice breeze was blowing. I got my walk in and then sat in the shade and read. Meanwhile, Dave caught three pufferfish and a couple of others that got away. We both enjoyed ourselves!!
We both took short naps and then I watched Graceland University's doubleheader. Allison came in at the end of both games and got the saves!!

What a beautiful day!! We took our walk today at Sawgrass Lake Park. Although we've been there many, many times, today we went on the Hammack Trail, which we've never done before. This was a longer, more rustic trail. I didn't like it as much - too "woodsy" for me. It was longer, too. We did almost 2 miles on that trail! We got some good pictures on it while we were still on the boardwalk. Then when we left the boardwalk and were just on a sand path, there weren't as many opportunities for photos. Fun day, though.
