It was much cooler here today. We had 1 1/2 inches of rain last night. Since it was cooler, we decided to go fishing today. Dave wanted to go to Sand Key to fish, so we went there first. It was really, really rocky and COLD! We decided that wasn't a good place to fish today so we went to the Bellaire Causeway. Under the bridge is a good quiet place for fishing. There was about 6-8 feet of sand where we were and no rocks. We ended up being there 3 hours. We were out of the wind, so it was very pleasant. Dave caught a cute little bait fish and then he caught a red fish - it was beautiful, but had to be thrown back in.
We had lots of birds visit us - some of them almost in our laps!! This snowy egret was so close I could have touched him!!
