Busy

We found out today that our windows are going to be installed (hopefully) tomorrow.  That would be wonderful.  We had decided that Dave would just fly down for a few days when they told us an installation date.  This will eliminate that need.

I had a pedicure today and Dave had a chiropractor appointment.  He had some errands to run and I had another Lightroom class tonight, so we were busy today!

Our house is beginning to look like we're about to head North!

Sunday

Another beautiful day here!  We went to church where we heard a wonderful sermon about Doubting Thomas and our Christian growth!  We're going to miss Pastor Jack while we're gone.  We also were introduced to 18 confirmands - wow!  Wonderful!

This afternoon was a time of naps and 0 point meals!  I also took a bike ride to get rid of some of my larger clothes!

Saturday

There wasn't a cloud in the sky today.  It was so beautiful!  I'm really going to miss this place!!  We met Sudi & Howard for a late lunch at what used to be The Pub.  Now it's Caddy's Pub.  The food was good, but the friendship is so much better than the food!  Thank you, guys, for being our friends!
We sure hope your summer is wonderful!

Special day for the girls!

The girls got baptized today, so it was a special day for them.  I know that Kaylee was there, and Bob & Ann were there today too.  They look so pretty in their white dresses!

We had dental appointments this morning...that's always fun.  Then WW tonight.  Plus we did some packing today!

Beautiful Day!

After coffee this morning, Dave and I took off for Fort Desoto to take some pictures.  It was such a beautiful day.  The water was the prettiest I've ever seen the Gulf!  I wish a camera would actually record the actual color instead of changing just a bit.  Anyway, we got some really cool pictures.  After I edit them a bit, I'll post them to Facebook.  As an added bonus, we were able to see dolphins and get some good pictures of them, too.  We  took along a picnic lunch and sat overlooking the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.  It was just a beautiful day to enjoy!

I played cards tonight - there were 10 of us.  Two of us go back up north this week, though so we'll be down to 8 if everyone shows up.

I got a text from my brother telling me that  Allison is in surgery for her appendix at 8:45 tonight.  Sure hope she gets along well.

Hurry Up and Wait!

That was the story of my day today.  Dave and I went to Sawgrass this morning.  There was no waiting there..  After Sawgrass, we came home and I went to get my hair cut.  That's when the wait started..  I called in and Miguel who cuts my hair told me to be there at 12:30.  I was there at 12:25 and he told me there were 2 ahead of me...why did I bother to call in?  So finally about 1:30 I got out of there.  My next stop was at Bealls where I was going for a bra fitting.  The lady measured me then went to get me 4 bras to try.  She said she'd check my fit after each one.  So I put on the first one and she's no where to be found.  Wait.  Same story after the 2nd one...and the 3rd one.  And the 4th one.  She got me a couple more and the same thing happened again.  I was very tired by the time I got back home.  I had thought I'd get a pedicure, but no way after all of that.

Monday

Today I was able to get my newsletter and calendar for May done and sent to the office for printing.  Yay!  This evening, I went to a Light Room class.  There were about 25 people in the class.  Lots of good information!

Sunday

Wonderful sermon today.  It was all about Jesus' love for us and Mary Magdalene was an example.  She was a sinner, but she was the one that Jesus appeared to in the tomb.  Pastor told us the story of Mary going to Tiberius to let him know that Jesus was wrongly put to death.  She had taken eggs with her that day (maybe for her lunch).  Tiberius said something like, the likelihood of that being true is about the same as the likelihood of that egg in your hand turning red...and it did immediately.  I'd never heard this story before.  Pastor told us we could remember Mary Magdalene as a woman of ill-reputation or we could remember her smiling with the first Easter egg in her hand.

We went to Peter's for breakfast after church and then we came home where we've been all day.

Saturday

Dave and I went to the Wagon Wheel Flea Market today.  He needed some shorts and they're only $7 there...plus jeans are only $10 so he got a pair of them, too.  I even found a pink purse!  We got some sweet corn and a watermelon, too.  Yum!

We got some new pix of Baby O - here's one of my favorites.

This is today after her latest emergency procedure.  She looks great now.  Not so great on Thursday.  Bless her little heart!  She's a fighter.

We're little by little packing and getting ready to leave.  Right now we're looking to leave on May 6th - a Sunday.

Thursday

Good day mostly.  Baby O ended up having another surgical procedure today.  She got really bad in the night, so the kids had to rush to IC at 2:00 AM.  Do you suppose that's why I couldn't sleep last night?  Hmmm...

Today's meeting went well.  At least we know they are doing something about our concerns.  At WW tonight, I hit a milestone.  I've now lost 25 pounds!  Yay!

Beautiful day here!

Wednesday

Dave had a doctor's appointment today, so I had to go to coffee alone.  Tomorrow is our follow up meeting with our Regional VP about our community manager.  I'm thinking we're not going to like the outcome.  We'll see.

Heard some good news about Oaklyn today.  She broke the 9 pound barrier!  That means she's growing!  Rowyn is over 12 pounds, though, so baby O is still just a little bitty thing!

Tuesday

We had a wonderful trip home from Ft Lauderdale.  We saw lots of citrus groves and lots of farms.  We even saw some Sandhill Cranes!  We were able to meet Pat & Milt at Woody's in Ellenton for a late lunch this afternoon on our way back.  It was good to see them again and to get caught up with news on the family.

It was also good to see everyone at The Ranch!  A couple of people have put their homes up for sale.  I'm afraid we're losing people because of our manager.

Monday

We had a great day today.  First we both slept in until 8:30 - absolutely unheard of!  We then went to our favorite diner for breakfast - Lester's, where the eggs and bacon were perfect as usual.  Then we went to Jami's to prepare a crockpot dinner for the family.  After that was done, we went to the pretty beach for some sand/sun time.  It was a gorgeous day for that!  I even walked to the water!  The sand was super hot, so my feet felt burned when I got there.  The water was wonderful!!  Then the walk back to Dave - more hot feet!!

Naps were in order before we went back to Jami's for the evening.  The meal was a hit and the kids shared stories/pix/videos about their visit to Bahama last summer!  That was fun!

Now we're back at Sea Gardens packing for our trip back to C'water tomorrow AM, with a stop at Woody's to meet Dave's sister and her hubby for lunch.

Ft Lauderdale

We're back in Ft Lauderdale for the last time this season.  Dave and Jami and doing projects, the kids and Tom are doing their things, so I've got a few minutes to get caught up.  We came down Friday - a beautiful day to be out and about.  This time we came thru Sebring, which we won't do again.  It just took too long...too much traffic in Sebring so we missed every light.  Other than that, though, it was a fun trip.  Lots of horses and cows on that route, plus lots of veggie farms and citrus groves.  Beautiful!

Friday night we went to Sweet Tomatoes like always...without Kelly and Megan.  Saturday was more of the same.  Saturday night, Tom had bought us tickets for Cardinal Gibbons HS's musical, "Annie". There was some awesome talent!  All 7 of us were together for dinner AND for "Annie."  That was nice.

We've been so busy with the family that we haven't seen the pretty beaches or anything yet.  We'll do that tomorrow while everyone is at work/school.  So glad we're here and not in Iowa.  It's snowing there - on April 15th!  Yuck!

Thursday

Busy, busy!!  This morning we (the Board of Directors) met with the Regional Director and the new Regional Vice President.  We had a long meeting, but we felt good when it was over.  We felt they listened to us and we felt they will do something about our problems.  Plus, we were able to ask other questions and get answers.  The new VP is very approachable!

This evening we (the Board) hosted about 75 people for burgers, etc.  I think everyone enjoyed themselves!

Denise and I went to WW where we both lost again.  I'm .6 of a pound from being down 25 pounds!

Busy Day

We had a busy day today!  Coffee this morning and then this afternoon, the board got together for a short(?) meeting!  Tomorrow we have a meeting with the Regional Director and the Regional Vice President...fun!

It'll be another busy day for me.  Dave, bless his heart, is working to get us ready to go to Ft Lauderdale or home if something were to happen to Baby O.  We've not had any updates,  so we're hoping she's doing ok again.  I'll let you know when we know!

Tuesday

I had a chiropractor appointment this morning. While I was on the table, the clouds let loose with a downpour and close lightning.  I was glad to be inside.  It pretty much rained off and on all day - we needed it, so it was welcome.

I baked cookies after I got home from being adjusted...9 dozen for our BBQ on Thursday.  It's hard being on WW and baking cookies!  I only ate 1, so I was good!

Bob & Ann are leaving tomorrow, so it'll be a little lonesome around here!  We heard nothing from Baby O today.  God bless her!!

Monday

We went to see Roberta today.  She isn't feeling well - she's got a bad cold.  Dave did a few things for her.  She had some things to put away for the summer that she couldn't do by herself.  Dave had no problem with them.

This afternoon, Cassie  put a note on Facebook that Baby O isn't doing so well today.  She's still having issues that her medical team felt should have cleared up by now.  Please pray for her.

Sunday

Nothing new here today.  We went to church as usual and then went to Europa for breakfast.  When we got home, we had to wait until 3:00 for our massages.  Good massage and now we've wasted the evening so it's bedtime!!

Saturday

Dave and I went shopping this morning.  We're looking at various SUVs to possibly lease next fall.  I think we're shopping a bit early, but we'll see.  We also went to WallyWorld to pick up some groceries, etc.

I worked on the directories.  I've got 150 of them finished, but I still need 25 cover sheets to finish up the entire job.  However, my printer doesn't want to work with heavier card stock.  I guess I've got to re-think this.

Friday

Dave and I went to the Legion today.  It was a beautiful day there.  There were 10 of us so we sat in the shade, but it was still a pretty day.  Plus, I got to meet Mark Wohlers.  Mark's dad lives here and I've been pestering him about meeting Mark.  Mark used to be a pitcher with the Braves...a mighty good one, too.

Bad News

Poor Baby O had to be airlifted back to Iowa City last night.  She had too much oxygen and a bad reflux, all of which were causing her heart to work too hard.  They have her back to "normal" now.  Thank you, Lord!  I did notice that she had a pacifier in her mouth in her picture.  That's good news - she must be sucking to keep that in her mouth!  Yay, Oaklyn!  You just keep fighting, little girl!!

Today, I took a bike ride and almost ran over a little black snake!  That wasn't what I wanted to see.  At least it was on the north end of the park!

Weds.

This was a pretty uneventful day.  Went to coffee this morning.  I ran some errands.  I went to Office Depot to get our directories printed and then went to the library to pick up a library card.  Now I have to figure out how to use it to get books for my Kindle.

B&B

Things are starting to wind down here.  (Sad face!)  Bowling is done for the season.  We had our last bowling today.  We  all got little envelopes with $$ in them for various things.  We got $33 and we split the best cribbage hand in the last line of bowling.

Bingo goes on all year.  I won a bit tonight, but I'm still in the red for the year!

Great news about Oaklyn.  She got to go home today.  78 days in the NICU and now both girls are home.  Blaise is at his grandma's house, but he'll be introduced into the equation tomorrow.  Eeek!

VIN

In this case, VIN stands for Very Important Night.  Cassie, Kyle, and Kaylee are staying with Oaklyn tonight in a private room - without medical staff.  If all goes well, they'll get to take her home.  I'm sure they're scared!  She's back on oxygen and will be now until her next surgery.  Please keep them all in your prayers.  Kaylee will be her caregiver when Cassie goes back to work.

Happy

Easter to everyone!  Church was packed today!  After church we joined 20 or so Holiday Ranchers at Howard Park in Tarpon Springs for Easter on the Beach.  Lots of good food and beautiful weather.  Got some sun and enjoyed the day!

Tonight we watched Jesus Christ Superstar.  Awesome production!
