Brrrrr.....

Ohmigosh - we're only supposed to have a high today of -2 degrees - now THAT's cold! At least the sun is shining and I'll be inside all day. I'm going to help with the writing assessment for 10th graders for the area education agency. This is a very interesting task. We "grade" students' writing skills based on the six traits of effective writing - ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency and conventions. I'm glad I'm doing 10th graders - I think it's a lot easier to see these traits with older students. Unfortunately the first half of the day is training and I find that to be a little monotonous.
