Thanksgiving Day

Thank you, Lord, for the friendship which spans a multitude of years! We had a lovely lunch today at the Methodist Church in Fairfield. Sudi, Howard, Dave and I arrived at the church just as the ambulance arrived! We wondered if we should go in, but there was a man at the front door who waved us on in. As it turned out, one of the ladies who was working in the kitchen had gotten a little too hot and because of the meds she is taking, she became very weak. She was fine a little bit later - in fact, she was enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving meal! Another high school friend of mine and her husband joined us - Gloria and Phil. It was great to see them again too! The church said it planned to serve 300 and it was free to the community! What a wonderful service. We're going to send them a donation anyway because we didn't expect that.

Bryan came by this afternoon. He and Dave went over to Moravia to see Dave's new plant. It gave the boys some bonding time. When they got home we had soup for supper and thank goodness we did. Bryan had brought two pies - one was a boubon pecan pie with chocolate genache on top and the other was a pumpkin pie with a cream filling...both were absolutely wonderful. Now I'm really stuffed!

Gotta run - Happy Thanksgiving
