This turned out to be a beautiful day! We had coffee this morning and then played 4 games of shuffleboard - two this morning and two this afternoon. I only played 3 games, but I won all 3 of them, so I had a good day on the courts!
Then this evening at cards my good luck continued because my partners and I won by over 7,000 points!

B & B
Overall I had a pretty good day! I had a turkey at bowling - which means 3 strikes in a row. Because of my turkey, I had a 175 game! My bbest game of the season so far! We had 17 people bowling today and then we went to a really cool restaurant. It is called Quaker Steak & Lube. It's in a remodeled gas station and has lots of car stuff in it. They have a buffet for lunch every day and Tuesdays are Taco Tuesdays. The buffet costs $9.99 but it was all you can eat and it was good! Besides tacos they also had some stir fry and salad, plus soup and dessert. Fun place!
Then tonight at bingo I won $39! Felt pretty good about that, too! Plus, it was another beautiful day and the moon is absolutely gorgeous tonight!

Monday
Today wasn't quite as beautiful as the previous couple of days, but nice nonetheless. Dave painted the accent wall in the lanai - it's pretty cool! The paint took away the antiseptic look of too much white out there. Now I'm wondering if we should have painted the wall going into our mobile, too. I guess it'll be all right for a while. We'll probably have to paint the whole mobile in a year or two and then we can make it a warmer color!
Other than that, we took a couple of bike rides but nothing else much. Didn't have very good cards tonight, so that was a bust also! Tomorrow's another day!

Sunday
It was another beautiful day in the neighborhood. We went to 9:30 church and then we took off for the beach. Dave and Rich were fishing and Bill was watching. Actually Dave & Rich didn't catch a thing. Darn fish just weren't biting! The rest of us - Sandy, Della, Roger & Sue, Lulu & Bob, Nancy & Ricky, Donna, Kenny & Gabby all sat on the beach and had a great time. We saw several dolphins. There was even a baby out there just a jumping and playing!
We came home about 2:00 because we had massages at 4:00 - both of us. Wow! I feel really, really relaxed tonight. In fact, I'm wondering why I don't just go to bed!
Bob & Ann & Barb & Gary got back today. It's good to have them back in the 'hood!

Super Saturday...almost!
We had a great day today. It was 84 degrees, but a nice breeze blowing, so it didn't feel so hot. We went down to John's Pass to ride the Hubbard Dolphin boat, but while we were standing at the railing, we saw multiple pods of dolphins. So, we decided not to spend the $$ since we'd seen dolphins for free. Instead we went to Scully's to eat lunch. That was really cool because we got to sit on the rail right by the water! Good food!
Tonight I was watching my Cyclones play basketball and that's why I said it was almost a super Saturday. We got beat and we shouldn't have. We only made 1 3-pointer and we average 9 a game. George Niang was held to 3 field goals and he averages around 18 pts a game. It was like everyone was just off their game tonight. Oh well, one good thing about basketball - they play 30+ games in a season and it's still early!

On the way to John's Pass, we saw two sand hill cranes and Dave pulled into St Petersburg College's campus so I could get a picture of them.

Friday
Today started out a little foggy, but turned out to be a beautiful day. We went to the Legion with Ron & Marcia. It was a beautiful day to sit out by the water. Bobbi & Alan, Chris & Wolfy, and Rich & Sandy were at the table to our right. A couple from Waterloo sat at the table to our left. They live close to Bryan from what we could gather. They're snowbirds who are at the Legion almost every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They like to cruise and in fact, they said they cruise about 90 days a year.
The rest of the day was spent being retired! Bike rides and naps! Best part of being retired!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
We to the clubhouse last night for a New Year's Eve bash. About two hours into it, Ron had a problem, so I went with Marcia to the ER. Ron seemed to be feeling pretty good, so around 11:30 I called Dave to come get me. We were at a stop light when the clock struck midnight. When we got back to the park, part of the party was breaking up, so we stood in the street watching fireworks all around the park! Then we finally went home and called it a night. That's why I didn't blog last night!
This morning, I went to the clubhouse to help set up for the New Year's brunch that we Red Hatters put on every year. I set out 68 place settings and most of them were filled! Good job, ladies!
This evening, we've been watching football all evening! Fun way to start the new year!
